Here is
our story: |

Phytocrine.com was created to
provide healthcare professionals with information and clinical tools that
will allow them to successfully apply phytotherapeutics in the management of
endocrine dysfunctions. The information is based on widespread clinical
experience and exhaustive review of scientific literature in the use of
phytotherapeutics for endocrine dysfunctions. This information is compiled from the work of Dr. Joseph
J. Collins and features formulations that he has used for years in private
practice. The successful widespread release of these formulations for use by
other healthcare professionals has allowed both and an alternative and an
adjunct to hormone therapies, by
improving the function of hormone producing and hormone responsive tissues.
Dr. Collins has also applied his successful experiences with low-dose
bioidentical hormone replacement therapies (BHRT) while designing these
formulations. By improving the function of the BHRT and the response of
tissues to the BHRT these formulations allow healthcare professionals to
achieve their goals of prescribing the lowest effective dose of BHRT
possible. |

The
prevalence of decreased thyroid function
and the widespread prescribing of thyroid replacement therapy by both
traditional and integrative practitioners has always been a point of concern
to Dr. Collins and other clinicians. Clinically, Dr. Collins has found that
specific phytotherapeutic combinations are able to support and restore normal thyroid function. This allows
clinicians to achieve improved clinical outcomes in patients taking thyroid
medication without the need to raise the dose of thyroid medications. In
subclinical hypothyroid patients, the use of thyroid specific
phytotherapeutic typically allows clinicians the opportunity to the
prescribing of thyroid hormones. As he found with BHRT, Dr. Collins noted
that patients on thyroid hormone therapy often still had complaints related
to poor thyroid function. Typically these patients would convince doctors to
prescribe higher dosages of thyroid hormones, or they would be prescribed
antidepressants to alleviate the depression that is common in subclinical
hypothyroidism. By utilizing phytotherapeutic combinations specific to
thyroid function, patients were able to experience significant improvement
without the need to increase thyroid levels |
